This is a reasonable quality soldering pencil for general use. It featues a comfortable rubber sleeve and replaceable long-life conical tip. It does not include a stand, we suggest Soldering Iron Stand. At 40w this iron puts out enough heat to solder ground leads to chassis parts or perform other heady duty chores -- that also means that you need to work fast for delicate electronic soldering. This is the same iron provided with 40w Variable Temperature Soldering Station where the voltage control lets you turn down the heat for delicate work.
